Crop PDF — Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between CropBox and Flatten mode?

CropBox just sets the visible area — the removed content still exists in the file but isn't shown. File size stays the same. Flatten rasterizes the visible area into an image, producing a smaller file but losing selectable text.

Can I crop different pages differently?

The v1 applies the same crop rectangle (as a percentage of each page) to every page you select. For per-page cropping, run the tool once per page set.

Will text still be selectable after cropping?

In CropBox mode, yes — text is preserved. In Flatten mode, no — the cropped area becomes an image.
