ユーザーパスワードはファイルを開くために必要なパスワードです。所有者パスワードは、開いた後にユーザーが行える操作（印刷・コピー・編集など）を制御します。本ツールは所有者パスワードのみを設定するため、閲覧者はパスワードなしで通常どおりファイルを開けますが、制限された操作は行えません。

PDFの権限は実際に強制されますか？

ほとんどのPDFリーダー（Adobe・Preview・Firefox・Chromeなど）は権限を尊重します。技術的にはファイル自体は復号可能なため、これを回避できるツールも存在します。権限はあくまで抑止であり、強固なロックではありません。確実な保護には、当サービスの「PDF保護」ツールでユーザーパスワードと組み合わせてください。

後で制限を解除できますか？

はい、所有者パスワードがわかっていれば可能です。当サービスの「PDFロック解除」ツールを使えば、すべての権限制限を取り除き、ファイルを復号できます。

どんな暗号化が使われていますか？

現代のPDF保護ツールと同じ標準であるAES-256です。多くのデスクトップPDFツールでも信頼されているqpdfをWebAssemblyにコンパイルして使用しています。
